Have you ever noticed how easy it is to agree with the Bible-and still live like you're the exception? God can speak. Jesus can save. Grace can be real. But when Scripture gets uncomfortable, suddenly you start editing.

You're not tearing pages out.

You're just quietly marking out certain truths by how you live.

That's what Redacted is about. The Bible in your hands may be intact, but the one shaping your decisions is often trimmed down to what feels safe, popular, and convenient.

This book presses on the passages we tend to black out-hell, suffering, sex, money, allegiance, justice, discipleship, and the myth of "just me and Jesus." Not to win arguments, but to win back integrity.

Because if Jesus is Lord, you don't get to keep the marker.

Jake Mills is the lead pastor of New Life Church, a multi-campus church in Columbus, Ohio. With a master's degree in Practical Theology and ministry experience ranging from local church leadership to full-time missions in China, Jake writes to confront comfortable Christianity and rebuild real discipleship. He is a contributor to Outreach Magazine and writes the Daily Five devotional on Substack. More importantly, Jake follows Jesus and wants as many people as possible to experience life in Him before He returns. Jake lives in Central Ohio with the love of his life, Erin, and their six kids-who ensure he stays humble, caffeinated, and fully aware he's not in charge.
