Redwood: The Story Behind the Scenery

Redwood National and State Parks, located in northern California, were established throughout the 20th century to preserve the coastal redwood forests, including some of the world's tallest trees.

Richard A. Rasp, a National Park Service professional, is a wildlife biology graduate of Humboldt State University. Throughout his career, Dick has served in several National Parks in varied capacities from Ranger to Chief Park Naturalist/Interpreter, including more than 10 years at Redwood.
