Reflections From The Shield

In 1962, the author embarked on a career with the New York State Police that would span a quarter century. More than just a career, it was a 25 year labor of love and personal sacrifice. A roller coaster ride of challenge, adventure, excitement, exhilaration, danger, fear, anger, sadness, happiness, joy, chastisement, and reward. Wayne E. Beyea served a 25 year career in the NYS Police, supervising Investigators for 9 years. Trained as a hostage negotiator, the author supervised the NYSP Hostage Negotiation Training Program and personally, successfully resolved numerous hostage taking incidents.
