The Reformation crisis led to further variations on this crucial theme. This volume examines the theme of Reform from a variety of viewpoints while covering more than four centuries. Some contributions look at Apocalyptic dimensions in writings on reform. Another focuses on the influence of Gerhart Ladner on the study of reforming themes and reform movements.

Thomas M. Izbicki, Ph.D. (1973) in History, Cornell University, is Collection Development Coordinator at the Eisenhower Library, Johns Hopkins University. He has published extensively on medieval papalism, including - with J.H. Burns - Conciliarism and Papalism (Cambridge University Press, 1997).

Christopher M. Bellitto, Ph.D. (1997) in History, Fordham University, is Assistant Professor of Church History, St. Joseph's Seminary, Dunwoodie, Yonkers, New York. He is preparing a book on Nicolas de Clamanges.
