Two Volumes. Pp: xi + 567. xi + 622. Gilt titles: sp. Illust. w/ b/w table. T.E.G. Decorative endpapers. Five raised leather bands w/ gilt designs to sp. Red leather with green, brown & orange marbled bds. A few leaves of vol. I were roughly cut. Vol. I f.f.e.p. detached, but present. Interior leaves age-toned, else clean and tight. Includes footnotes. The history of the Reformation of the Church of England. Vol I: A. D.1514-1547. Vol. II: 1547-1662. A thorough study of the Church of England during the Reformation. All in all a very nice decorative set.
