About the Author
First Author Alexis P. Barron, D.Sc., has spent more than 30 years as an educator. Her studies with many healers, spiritual teachers, and Feng Shui masters have complemented her doctoral degree in behavioral sciences from the Harvard School of Public Health, and her masters degree in education from Lesley University. She is committed to health and well-being, helping people of all ages discover and create peace, joy and happiness within themselves and in their environments. To achieve this end, she utilizes her diverse gifts as a health educator, behavioral scientist, Feng Shui consultant and spiritual teacher. She teaches and consults with individuals, groups, organizations, and corporations by providing classes, workshops, and lectures. Born in New Jersey, Alexis now lives in Orleans, Massachusetts at the Heavenly Family Retreat, a vacation property she has created with her children on beautiful Cape Cod. Her greatest joys continue to be her three grown children, Matt, Anna, and Alex, her spiritual practice, spending time in nature - especially in her garden, singing and dancing, and traveling whenever she can. (Second Author) Michelle Magid has her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, as well as a combined undergraduate degree in Education and Child Psychology from Boston University. She has been working in the field of psychology for over 20 years. She is a Reiki Master and has a private practice integrating psychology, coaching, Reiki and intuitive guidance. She has learned from her practice that when a person is re-directed from fearful thinking to love-based thinking, healing is possible on all levels. Children, teens, adults and animals can all benefit from this shift. She has found that the presence of love is the "all encompassing healer." As an artist, she has studied at The Museum of Fine Arts, The Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, and the Provincetown Art Association and Museum. She was born in New Jersey and she currently lives on Cape Cod with her family, where she enjoys gardening, photography, music and the beautiful beaches.
