About the Author

Will Morrisey teaches political science at Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan and has served for more than twenty-five years as an editor of Interpretation: A Journal of Political Philosophy, published at Queens College in New York. He has published six previous books:

A Political Approach to Pacifism was selected as "1996 Outstanding Academic Book" by Choice, the journal of the Association of College and Research Libraries. Morrisey's essays and reviews have appeared in The New York Times, The American Political Science Review, Social Science and Modern Society, Philosophy and Literature, This World, Book Forum, The St. John's Review, The Political Science Reviewer, and other publications. He has spoken before many professional and civic organizations. He received his undergraduate degree from Kenyon College, and his M.A. and Ph.D. from New School University, where his dissertation won the Hannah Arendt Dissertation Prize.
