The text describes the items produced in an easy-to-use format with color photos on the facing pages. These pages detail the roster of Britains military sets, picture packs, and civilian lines (Farm, Hunt, Zoo, Circus and Racing Colors). The set's contents, along with the dates of production and any changes, are noted.
About the Author
Joe Wallis is a retired Federal employee who administered the Historic Preservation Grant Programs and served as the Budget Officer for the Cultural Resources Programs of the National Park Service for 35 years. He was a founding partner (with Steve and Josie Sommers, Don Pielin, and Roger Garfield) of the Old Toy Soldier Newsletter, and has written over 150 articles for that periodical since 1976. He also published Armies of the World, Britains Limited Lead Soldiers 1925-41, which has sold over 2,400 paperback copies since its publication in 1993.
