Engraved title, 13 plates including 3 folding views, plus a folding map outlined in colour. So 2 plates in addition to those specified in the binder's instructions. Vol. 2: Pp. [2], 370, [2 index]. Engraved title, 7 plates as called for. Vol. 3: Pp. vi, 474, [2 index]. Lacks engraved title, 6 plates as called for. Dated 1794-1795. Bindings slightly rubbed. Contents very clean inside. Volume 1 with a few sections of pages creased to top corner, small tear to folding map of France. Title trimmed tight on top margin. Volume 2 with original owner's name to title page. The Register of the Times, dealt mainly with current affairs, both domestic and foreign. Issued initially every days. 8 volumes in total were published. This set of the first three volumes is a very good example. Uncommon. A heavy set, additional postage may be required for orders outside the UK. (ar14).
