Viii pp + 294 pages and a single leaf publishers catalogue at the rear. two small neat contemporary ink inscriptions on top of title "H. Davies 1791" & Owen and on endpaper "Dr Owen. Beaumaris" (could be the earliest?) Speckled calf worn, top board hangs by a single thread and almost detached. actual contents clean and tight. Very Good. Octavo. 20 x 13 cm. 1762. The work was first published in 1756, we think this was a 2nd edition, the author died in 1806.He published another work in 1760 "Ornithologie" which is still an important treatise on the study of birds.

We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance.
