Since fans of daikaiju couldn’t get enough of the destruction and chaos brought to you by Wild Hunt Press’s Attack of the Kaiju series, our sadistic crew had to satisfy that twisted urge of yours by coming up with a companion volume. So, behold Reign of the Titans!

As before, you can expect a lot of mayhem from giant monsters, but this time you’ll do so via tales that explore the darker side of kaiju, featuring worlds where these titanic god-like beasts have succeeded in dethroning humanity from the top of the food chain, or are on the precipice of doing so. In these stories humanity will not be fighting to defeat their gigantic competitors because the war is already lost – now they will simply be struggling to survive with what little remains of the world they once knew.

This first volume features six new tales of dystopian dread brought to you by Attack of the Kaiju series founder Matthew Dennion (whose Atomic Rex series of novels set the standard for cool but chilling post-apocalyptic kaiju fiction); Christofer Nigro ( Dargolla: A Kaiju Nightmare, a novella often criticized for its bleak depiction of what it means for humanity to share a world with giant monsters determined to overthrow their hegemony); Dustin Dreyling (who took the nightmarish side of kaiju to the next level with his Primordial Soup series); and more chaos-laden tales of humanity on the run by Cody Bratsch (Zernocia: Rise of the Guardian), Brion Halloway, and Kevin Heim.

In addition to this, you’ll get five reviews of kaiju-related comics and cinema by noted authors in the field such as Andres Perez (Primal Warrior Draco Azul series & owner of the KaijuNoir channel on YouTube); Nathan Marchand (conductor of the popular Monster Island Film Vault podcast); and John LeMay (editor of The Lost Films Fanzine and author of numerous books on the subject, such as Kong Unmade: The Lost Films of Skull Island).
