Relax, Nothing Is Under Control: and Other Lessons from 50 Years with My Spiritual Master

Relax, Nothing Is Under Control is a deeply personal and illuminating spiritual memoir that chronicles Gerald Sheinfeld's more than five decades in the presence of his spiritual teacher, Avatar Adi Da Samraj.

Beginning with a conventional life in America, Sheinfeld's journey takes a dramatic turn when he encounters a teacher whose presence awakens in him a profound recognition of Divine Reality. Through a series of intimate, often surprising, and sometimes humorous stories-what are traditionally called "leelas," or sacred plays-he shares the lived experience of the Guru-devotee relationship.

These stories are not abstract philosophy. They are grounded, human, and emotionally honest accounts of transformation-moments of confusion, surrender, resistance, and insight. Along the way, Sheinfeld offers reflections on the spiritual path of Adidam, revealing how real growth occurs not through technique or self-improvement, but through relationship, grace, and deep self-understanding.

Blending memoir, spiritual teaching, and experiential insight, this book offers readers:

• A rare, firsthand account of life with a realized spiritual master
• Practical and philosophical insights into ego, surrender, and awakening
• A compelling exploration of the search for meaning beyond conventional life
• A heartfelt invitation to consider the possibility of true spiritual transformation

Both accessible and profound, Relax, Nothing Is Under Control speaks to seekers, skeptics, and anyone drawn to the mystery of human consciousness and the possibility of awakening.
