Religion in the Post-Yugoslav Context brings together a diverse group of scholars, each of them specializing in the role of religion in one of the Yugoslav successor states. In addition to providing the readership with the understanding of both the general context (religion during the disintegration of the Yugoslav state) as well as more specific aspects (individual post-Yugoslav states), this rich collection complements the existing research in the fields of religious studies and political science. It represents an important source for scholars and students interested in the post-Yugoslav dynamic. Moreover, this kind of analysis is of major relevance for state and non-state actors involved in promotion of religious tolerance.
Raymond Detrez is professor of East European history and culture and director of the Centre of Southeast European Studies at the University of Ghent.
Dr Paul Mojzes is Chair of the Religious Studies and Humanities Department at Rosemont College, Pennsylvania, USA.
He is a native of Yugoslavia, educated at Belgrade University, Florida Southern College, and Boston University. He is the co-editor of the Journal of Ecumenical Studies and the editor of Occasional Papers on Religion in Eastern Europe. He is the author of Christian-Marxist Dialogue in Eastern Europe and editor of Varieties of Christian-Marxist Dialogue as well as the writer of numerous articles. He is a member of the United Methodist Church.
PAUL MOJZES is Professor of Religious Studies at Rosemont College, Rosemont, Pennsylvania.
Kenneth Morrison is Professor of Modern Southeast European History at De Montfort University, UK. He is the author of

Sarajevo's Holiday Inn: On the Frontline of Politics and War (2016) and, with Elizabeth Roberts,
The Sandžak: A History (2013). He has written extensively on the modern history of the Balkans. He has published numerous scholarly articles in edited books and journals and he has written for the BBC, the Guardian, Balkan Insight, New Eastern Europe, IHS Global, Jane's Intelligence Review, Jane's Intelligence Digest and the Economist Intelligence Unit. He has been an external advisor to the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and was, in 2017, appointed Specialist Adviser on Balkan politics for the House of Lords International Relations Select Committee.
