Softcover without dustjacket. Mild rubbing to black finish on covers. Good+ condition with mild wear to edges. Pages clean and unmarked. From the preface to this Edition "It would be presumptuous to call this work a philosophy of religion, but it is a first step in that direction. There is a reciprocal relation between science and religion which I try to trace in parts one and two, intending to show that neither can maintain itself in adequate manner without the other. In part three I endeavor to clear away from the face of religion what I believe to be certain present-day misinterpretations of it and to state my own view of its function in human living.".
