Reluctant Ruler

He was never meant to wear the crown. Heaven had other plans.

Alex was content as the quiet second son, far from the throne and the weight that comes with it. Then tragedy takes the crown of Sardonia and sets it on the one head that never wanted it. A kingdom fractured from within and threatened from beyond its borders now rests on a young man who feels wholly unready to carry it.

Torn between duty, the people he is sworn to protect, and the love he is terrified to lose, Alex must decide what kind of king he will become. Not the kind history expects. The kind he is called to be.

As enemies close in and loyalties splinter, Alex discovers that the throne demands more than strength or strategy. It demands sacrifice, faith, and the courage to be shaped by a calling larger than himself. The making of a king has never been about the crown. It has always been about the heart beneath it.

Will he rise to the destiny he never asked for, or lose everything he holds dear in the trying?
