About the Author

Ellen Rendle graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, and earned a Master's in American history from the University of Delaware. She is the Curator of Maps and Photographs at the Delaware Historical Society, benefiting from the rich resources of the library and those who have shared their stories with her. She lives in Brandywine Hundred with her husband, John.
