Remembering A Son: Remembering John

The death of a child for any family is one of the most tragic and difficult things parents and families may experience. This work shares one familys story and experiences.

Pat Munley was born and raised in Somerville, New Jersey. He attended Seton Hall University, where he received an undergraduate degree, and went on to obtain a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland. He met his wife Mary Anne (Collins) Munley at Seton Hall and they have five children: Elizabeth Anne (Munley) Peot, Thomas Edward Munley, Michael Patrick Munley, John Patrick Munley and Katherine Claire Munley. Mary Anne is a retired elementary school teacher who serves as Chapter Leader for the Kalamazoo Chapter of Compassionate Friends. Pat is a Professor of Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology at Western Michigan University.
