First published in 1830. The work gives an insight to the characters and the society of the time Angelo was the most distinguished member of a family of swordsmen and one of the fathers of modern fencing. Some foxing as usual, chiefly to preliminaries, fore-edges and lower edges and sporadically elsewhere, almost entirely clear of illustrations; in all other respects, a very good set.
