Agriculture is becoming more and more in the hands of a few large producers. Technological advances are taking place in the sense of control and automation of production processes, requiring increasingly detailed and sophisticated knowledge of what happens on farms. As a result, there is a need to improve techniques that are well-established in academic circles but have only recently been applied in the field.
