The Remuda is a name used by the cowboys when referring to their horses that are being used as replacement mounts. A cowboy will usually rotate the horses he uses on a daily basis so he'll be somewhat assured of having a fresh mount at the beginning of each day (although he may not be too fresh himself). These extra horses are usually allowed to tag aong loose and will generally stay in a little herd of their own; hence "The Remuda". Obviously, then, the dust they make can be called Remuda Dust. As it settles in becomes one of the ingredients to make up the cowboy flavor of things. That's what this little collection of things I've scribbled down from time to time is supposed to do... just kind of give a cowboy flavor to things.
