Maren Caplin has always been the rock of his family, but the death of his wife turned him to stone. His daughter Lily is all he has left of her, yet she is slowly slipping through his fingers as their new home soaks her into its walls. What lives beyond the shadows will eat away at them until there is nothing left to take, and reflect the parts of themselves they would die to keep hidden.

Reality will blur into the darkness, and the present will tangle with the past, as their own faces become unrecognizable. Will the truth unfold before it's too late, or will the depths of the basement swallow another soul?

Singer, songwriter, and author Renae Lynk's debut novel is The Replica. She was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, where she is part of a local rock band called Reckless In Red. Since she was a child, she has spent most of her time creating songs, short stories, poetry, and artwork. The idea for The Replica came from one random conversation with her best friend Lacey.
