Beverley is a historic market town, civil parish and the county town of the East Riding of Yorkshire. The town is known for Beverley Minster, Beverley Westwood, North Bar (a 15th-century gate) and Beverley Racecourse. It inspired the naming of the city of Beverly, Massachusetts, which in turn was the impetus for Beverly Hills, California. Contains single-sided indigo text with red fore edge margin lines allowing for chapter notes, comprising [blank vi], title page, 4 contents, 41 printed pages of text. Ink name to the front free end paper 'Harold Vickers', rubbing to the corners and in Very Good clean condition. Scarce. Member of the P.B.F.A. YORKSHIRE (Jórvík).
