Black, white, yellow, orange dust jacket is bright with light edgewear, light rubbing and tiny 1/4-inch tear top front cover, and one small tape repair top spine corner, price is unclipped. Hardcover is orange paper over boards with publisher's gold embossed stamp on front cover. Black cloth spine with title and author name stamped in gold and silver. All interior pages clean and unmarked. A remarkable, prescient collection of essays about space phenomena and science fiction which guides the reader on a tour of the universe. SIR ARTHUR C. CLARKE (1917-2008) wrote the novel and co-authored the screenplay for 2001: A Space Odyssey. He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II, and he is the only science-fiction writer to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. His fiction and nonfiction have sold more than one hundred million copies in print worldwide. Very nice COLLECTIBLE FIRST EDITION.
