The author contends that this rebellious behaviour was initiated by a small but influential group of disaffected people in Lower Canada who spread their ideas into Upper Canada. The author believes that the British government's policy of conciliation, rather than suppression, only emboldened the rebels, thus demonstrating that a hard line must be taken to prevent similar events in the future. As a small publisher we do not have the facilities to resell returned books, so any returned book will be recycled.
