Black cloth, printed backstrip chipping, front joint weak. 116 pp. Description of the events surrounding a boiler explosion at #'s 3&5 Hague St., New York, which resulted in the deaths of approximately 70 people. This was the deadliest single (non-epidemic) event in New York City to that date. The appendices contains lists of donations to relief funds, names of the dead and severely injured and their survivors. OCLC 8296005 (11 loc.).
