An investigation into "the causes which have led to the recent unnatural revolt in this portion of Her Majesty’s Dominions; the evils that have resulted from it; and the measures necessary to guard and protect us from the recurrence of a like calamity" (p. 3), preceded by a short review of the political history of the Provinces since they became a part of the Dominions of the British Crown.
