A very scarce work.An impressive presentation of the reports from various committees to the House of Commons from the year 1833, this being Volume IX of XII published in that year.This volume contains the reports of the Municipal Corporations, Metropolitan Police, Frederick Young &C., and Cold Bath Fields Meeting.Of particular interest is the minutes of the meeting on the Coldbath Field riots, which had occurred in May of 1833. The riots occured when the police attempted to break up a meeting of the National Union of the Working Classes.From the library of the Law Society, rebound by them, with their bookplate to the front paste down. In an institutional half cloth binding with paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart, light rubbing, with loss to the tail of the front joint. Light marks to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. Small bump and loss to the fore edge of the rear board. A small amount of paper is lifting to the front joint. Small tidemark to the rear board. Front hinge is strained. Bookplate to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean. Title page is detached but present, and is a little edge worn. Good.
