David Schwinger is a retired mathematics instructor and prolific mystery writer.

Schwinger taught mathematics at New York's City College for many years. At the same time, he earned his MBA and began brainstorming ideas that would eventually become his series of Amy Bell mysteries. His charming protagonist and her husband and partner in crime have appeared in The Teacher's Pet Murders, Murder Takes the Top Prize, Murder Spoils the Perfect Romance, Murder with Magic, Murder on the Lido Deck, Letter-Perfect Murder, Willing to Murder, and Retirement Was Murder.

When he isn't writing, Schwinger enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife.
