Basel: Ex officina Henricpetrina, 1571. Folio, contemporary brown sheep, rubbed. With 27 double-page woodcut maps by S. M�nster, including 3 repeats and 7 smaller woodcut maps in the text. Nice copy. This is the 3rd edition translated and edited by Xylander (= pseudonym for Holzman, 1532-1576) with Greek and Latin parallel texts. The blocks that were used, were the same that M�nster used for 4 editions of Ptolemy's Geographia. Adams S1907; Phillips (Atlases) 3390. Seller Inventory # 21593
