The devotional biography of Hudson Taylor (missionary to China) describes his spiritual testimony as "the exchanged life" (as in Galatians 2:20). Maybe some issues have puzzled you about this teaching, that we who believe in Jesus Christ have been brought into a union with Him the changes our spiritual identity. Perhaps you’ve wondered about the implications and meaning of having Christ live through you. Or maybe you’ve talked about this to others and they have misunderstood what you were saying, or have told you that some other Christians do not accept this teaching. This book describes 15 of the most common misunderstandings of the Christ centered life and gives answers to these difficulties. You don’t have to let perceived problems with this message, which is freeing and empowering, keep you from the benefits of walking with Christ. Let this practical volume resolve these problems and misunderstandings.
This second edition has four more misunderstandings and resolutions. It also has a handy concluding summary.
John Best is Director of Research and Exposition Operation 220 (Exchanged Life Ministries Texas) in the Dallas area. He and his wife, Carolyn, founded the ministry in 1985. Prior to this, he was a church youth director, Christian radio announcer and for 13 years taught at Dallas Theological Seminary. He has both a masters and doctors degree from the seminary. He left his position as Assistant Professor of New Testament Literature and Exegesis to minister full-time with ELMT. John enjoys landscape photography, his daughters, Audrey and Ruth, his grandchildren, model railroading and teaching, training and writing about union with Christ.
