Item description from seller

Routledge, London / New York, 1993. VIII,367p. Original black cloth with dust wrps. Nice copy. ?E. attempts an extraordinarily ambitious task: ?to present a synoptic representation of the youth of Roman antiquity. and to discern the various ways in which the world of the young was transformed and changed, in which youth itself put its stamp on its environment.? A more modest quantity of our books concerns countries, civilisations and religious movements on the edges of the classical world: e.g. Egypt, Middle East and Early Christianity.…
