Synopsis
What is the most important thing that a person can achieve outside of optimal health? An optimal understanding of health. We are assaulted frequently by the difficult wording of the chemical formulas and procedures of the medical field. Unfortunately, we don't as often get the needed understanding of what makes everything tick and how all these high advances and improvements of the medical field help us behind the scenes. This book is an attempt to help with some of that with details of how our body works within the context of full optimization and how it benefits our health, as well as some information and explanation behind some of the most sensitive health issues hounding us today.
About the Author
Dr. Sergey Dzugan graduated from the Donetsk State Medical Institute (Ukraine) with a Doctorate of Medicine in 1979. After medical school, he performed his residency in general and cardiovascular surgery and became the Head of Heart Services in 1985. In 1990, he received his PhD in Medical Science and subsequently became Assistant Professor at the Donetsk State Medical Institute. In May of 1991, he became the first Chief of the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery and Senior Heart Surgeon at the Donetsk District Regional Hospital, Ukraine. In March of 1993, he became an Associate Professor at Donetsk State Medical University and became interested in the preventive aspects of heart disease and began studying hormone treatments. Dr. Dzugan moved to the United States from Ukraine in 1995 and in 1996, became a scientific consultant to Dr. Arnold Smith at the North Central Mississippi Regional Cancer Center (NCMRCC) in Greenwood, Mississippi for over 7 years. His role there was to study the latest advances in nutraceutical treatments with a particular focus on improving immunological function. In 1998, he was board certified by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. His employer at NCMRCC, Dr. Smith stated Dr. Dzugan is a brilliant, gifted physician whose talents we believe... make a significant contribution to the nation. In 2001, Dr. Dzugan suggested a new hypothesis of hypercholesterolemia and developed a new statin-free method of high cholesterol treatment. At the same time he also developed a unique multimodal program for migraine management. In October 2003, he moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and became the Manager of the Advisory Department at the Life Extension Foundation. Later, he became President of Life Extension Scientific Information Inc. In August 2006, Dr. Dzugan left the Life Extension Foundation to create a scientific organization that consults with physicians around the globe to develop programs to optimize their patients' physiology. Dr. Dzugan was accepted (June, 30 2006) to the International Academy of Creative Endeavors (Moscow, Russia) as a Corresponding Member. One year later, the Academy awarded him the honorary title of Academician. In December 2007, Dr. Dzugan was rewarded with the Honoree Medal by this Academy. Dr. Dzugan is the author of 151 publications in medical journals and these publications include surgical, oncological, academic, and anti-aging topics. He is the author of books The Migraine Cure, Your Blood Doesn t Lie!, The Magic of Cholesterol Numbers, and The Restoration of the Human Body and is a holder of 3 patents related to heart surgery. Dr. Dzugan is a Member of the Editorial Board of the Neuroendocrinology Letters and a member of the Medical Advisory Board at Life Extension Magazine. On numerous occasions, he has presented his work at the prestigious International Congress on Anti-Aging Medicine. The topics of his presentations were related to cholesterol disorders, migraine, physiology optimization, stem cell therapy, cancer, and immunorestorative / hormonorestorative therapy. Dr. Dzugan is President of iPOMS the International Physiology Optimization Medical Society.
