About the Author
Kent received his master's degree from Concordia Seminary, St.Louis, Missouri, and a Ph.D. from Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. Heearned the Doctor of Ministry degree at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena,California.
In Restoring Civility:Lessons from the Master, Kent responds to the disrespect that occurs insociety and the drift that follows when people lose their civil compasses. He observesthat the cycle of culture is ready, and many are eager, to restore civility.Every person can be part of the solution!
Kent has served as a speaker for hundreds of conferences inthe U.S., Canada, the former Soviet Union, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Kenya, SouthAfrica, Brazil, Belize, Japan, England, and Australia.
Kent says his reason for being on this earth is to helpChristians and churches become more effective for the Great Commission, to makedisciples of all people. He recognizes that America is the third largestmission field in the world (behind China and India). His passion is to comealongside Christians to provide encouragement, direction, and focus and to turnchallenges into opportunities for mission through the local church. Kent isdeeply concerned about the civil disobedience that has gripped the U.S. andother so-called civilized countries.
