Restraint

It’s our honeymoon, and Ben made me leave my Glock behind. To be fair, when he asked who I planned on shooting, I couldn’t answer.

We’re honeymooning for three weeks and buying Ben’s family’s cabin near Seattle. We’re not chasing down felons.

Or are we?

The cabin holds part of Ben’s parents’ estate, including his mother’s journals. After reading Grace Haverson’s account of her last days, Ben is rocked to his core.

His parents’ fatal car accident 15+ years ago was not so accidental.

Digging into what really happened puts an immediate target on our backs. Before we can blink, Ben’s the prime suspect in a crime, and the message couldn’t be clearer: Drop our questions or suffer the consequences.

Either way, Ben’s not safe. I cannot tolerate that.
His parents were slain, and he’ll accept nothing short of a full accounting.
We have one option: clear Ben’s name by stopping a ruthless crime syndicate.

For this harrowing mission, we must ally with shady bedfellows. I’ve always upheld the law, and this path tests my loyalties like never before.

I must choose… Ben’s good name or my honor code.

How morally gray will I have to go to save the man I love?
