Rethink Reading Strategies: Teaching Children with Learning Differences to Read in 14 Days. Really!

Is your child still struggling with reading? You know they are smart and have the ability to achieve, but they are not progressing. National Assessment reports 67% of all fourth-graders in the United States scored below proficient. Rethink Reading Strategies has identified revolutionary ways to reconsider how reading is taught to children with learning disabilities or children who are still struggling in reading and comprehension. Explaining why writing comes before reading and how storytelling is the basis for comprehension strategies, this book provides a new framework, ideas, and practical ways for parents and teachers to help children become proficient readers in just 14 days.

Ken Blanchard, co-author of One Minute Manager writes, "I love this book. Dr. Suki Stone's brilliant teaching concepts acknowledge that children with learning differences don't need to be 'fixed'--they need to be recognized for what they can do. This recognition is the first step toward success in both teaching and learning. Rethink Reading Strategies is a priceless gift for parents, for educators, and especially for children who happen to learn differently."

Dr. Suki Stone is on a Mission to Teach Learning Disabled Children to Read Dr. Stone is passionate about her position as a literacy advocate.
