23.5cm, 99p., with 9 large rear folding maps, rebound in stiff dark blue wraps with the original wraps laid down, a fine copy thus, rare (n12) A Report put out regarding a title dispute to a huge seigneury of 450 miles frontage on the north shore of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Much of the debate was to whether or not such a seigneury even existed and Bouchette's survey of 1815 along with maps showing the area (Mitchell, Jolliet, Champlain, Bouchette, Bayfield) were produced. A supplement by Paquet gives a chronological analysis of the area in dispute from 1661 through to 1864.
