Revelation Explained: Verse by Verse

You've tried to read Revelation and closed it more confused, or more afraid, than when you began. This book changes that.

Most readers give up somewhere around chapter 13, among the beasts, the bowls and the dragon. Revelation Explained: Verse by Verse walks through all 22 chapters, every verse, in plain language. No Greek, Hebrew or seminary training required. It reads the whole book through one clear truth: Jesus Christ has already won, so the frightening images become reassurance instead of terror.

Every chapter follows the same shape:

• Old Testament Foundations, taught first, so you know where the symbols come from before you meet them
• The verse-by-verse commentary
• Common Questions
• Reflection Questions for personal study or a group

You will finally understand:

• the letters to the seven churches
• the seals, trumpets and bowls, and how they follow one another
• the four horsemen, the 144,000 and the two witnesses
• the beast, the mark and the number 666, letting Scripture interpret Scripture
• the thousand years, and the new heaven and new earth

Fair to every view. This 3rd Edition sets out the four ways Christians read Revelation before making its case for the futurist reading.

Richard French has studied Revelation for thirty years as a layperson, after a career spent making complex systems understandable. He brings the patience of someone who has lived in this text.

Whether you're an intimidated believer, a new Christian or a small-group leader, you will read Revelation with confidence and hope.

Not oversimplified, just explained. Start reading today.
