A Revised Account Of The Experiments Made With The Bashforth Chronograph: To Find The Resistance Of The Air To The Motion Of Projectiles (1890)

""A Revised Account Of The Experiments Made With The Bashforth Chronograph: To Find The Resistance Of The Air To The Motion Of Projectiles"" is a book written by Francis Bashforth in 1890. The book provides a detailed account of the experiments conducted by Bashforth using his own invention, the Bashforth Chronograph, to measure the resistance of air to the motion of projectiles. The experiments were conducted by firing projectiles through a tube filled with smoke and measuring the time taken by the projectiles to pass through the smoke. The book includes a detailed description of the apparatus used, the methodology employed, and the results obtained. The book also includes a discussion of the implications of the results for the field of ballistics and the design of projectiles. This book is an important historical document in the field of ballistics and provides valuable insights into the early development of experimental techniques for measuring air resistance. With The Application Of The Results To The Calculation Of Trajectories According To J.
