About this title

Synopsis

This definitive and most detail work ever to have been published, devoted exclusively to the chemistry and biology of chlorinated insecticides, comes from the authoritative pen of a leading investigator in this field. It should serve for many years to come as the prime reference source both for instructional and research purposes, for it not only delineates that which is known about this valuable class of compounds, but also emphasises those important biological and ecological areas in which our knowledge is still much too sketchy and in which further investigation may be expected to uncover facts of great interest and wide applicability.

About the Author

Gerald T. Brooks was formerly in the Biochemistry Department of the Agricultural Research council’s Pest Infestation Laboratory (now the Pest Infestation Control Laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food) at Slough, England. His field of work is the chemistry, biochemistry, and toxicology of insecticides and hormones.
