Born in Mainz in 1986, Anna Albinus studied Catholic theology, Jewish studies and art history in Freiburg and Jerusalem. Her novella Revolver Christi was awarded the Debut Prize at the 2021 Austrian Book Prize and the 2022 Rauris Literature Prize for ‘the best first prose publication in the German language’. Albinus lives with her family in Greifswald.

Rachel Farmer is a translator and interpreter working from French and German into English. Her most recent translations include The Interpreter by Isabella Pallavicini and In Foreign Lands, Trees Speak Arabic by Usama Al Shahmani (part of the +SVIZRA series from Strangers Press). Her translations have also appeared in SAND, No Man’s Land and Asymptote literary journals, among others.
