Item description from seller

Volume 1 in this short two-volume series. Bound in pale yellow cloth with titles stamped in dark brown. Reprint of the Barse edition, this copy issued in 1932 after G&D acquired Barse in 1931. Endpapers illustrated by N. Braley. All ads at the rear indicate 1932 as the printing year. Former owner's information to the second blank, otherwise unmarked. The cloth has a bit of light smudging; the spine has a very faint crease. Just a hint of edgewear. Hinges solid; binding square. The dust wrapper has a 1" closed creased tear to the top edge of the front panel, a tiny chip at the head of the spine, and just a touch of wear at the other extremities. The rear flap shows 11 Hardy Boys Stories. A clean, tight copy. Uncommon.
