This copy one of those in 'handsome illuminated cover' -- paper covered card boards with early design. 15 lithographed plates, many coloured; various smaller illustrations too. Second edition, undated but somewhere between 1853 and 1856. A very rare edition. Condition as follows: Wear to extremities. Spine has lost some paper at top; appears to be covered in an old tape used for a repair. A couple of small, inconsequential tears to leaves. Some light browning.
