Rhode Island Coal helps you understand a unique, high-ash fuel and how it ends up in power, heat, and industry.
This concise study explains the coal’s variability, its heavy ash and moisture, and why traditional burning methods often fail. It also outlines practical approaches for handling, mining, and using Rhode Island coal more effectively. The book surveys its history, geology, and the challenges of making this coal work in real-world facilities. It blends data from analyses, field observations, and early testing to map the best paths for future use.
- How the coal’s composition affects heating value and efficiency
- Why preparation and tailored methods are crucial for successful use
- Possible roles in electric power, gas producer systems, and specialized brick and furnace work
- Economic considerations and the chances for profitable, location-specific applications

Store description
