REEVE, J. Stanley Press of J.B. Lippincott Company 1908 Second Edition 7 5/8" x 5 1/8" Early and uncommon work by the celebrated master of fox hounds and sporting author J. Stanley Reeve (1878-1960); this second edition is not recorded. J. Stanley Reeve and Katharine Lowell Roosevelt were married April 17, 1909; her book, Covert-Side Courtship was published later that year with silhouettes by J. Stanley Reeve. Cf. Siegel p. 220; Higginson, British and American Sporting Authors, p. 427 (for 1901 ed.); Biscotti, Six Centuries of Foxhunting *frontispiece detached* J. Stanley Reeve was a seasoned sportsman and leading figure of the Radnor Hunt in the early 20th century. He was married to a cousin of Theodore Roosevelt.
