Add to basket195 pp. Octavo. Brown and red pictorial dust-jacket with red lettering on spine. Dark green cloth binding with gilt lettering on facade and spine. Trimmed edges. Half-title present. Dust-jacket is in remarkably good condition, with some minor chipping to corners of spine and to the bottom corner of front flap. The majority of the jacket, however, remains very vibrant, clean, and undamaged. Cloth binding is similarly preserved, with fine boards and spine; green cloth and decorative gilt still vibrant. Internally clean and unmarked. A wonderful copy of this early Canadian title in a dust-jacket. Rhymes of a Red Cross Man was published in 1916 and authored by Robert W. Service, a British-Canadian poet. Service was inspired to write this collection of poems by his experiences working as a stretcher-bearer and ambulance driver with the American Red Cross during World War 1.
