Really Richmond -- A City Guide is a handy little book by Richmond native Elizabeth Cogar for anyone interested in exploring Richmond, Virginia. It's the perfect companion for visitors, newcomers and natives who don't get out much but are curious about what all the hullabaloo is about. Curated with a focus on locally born and bred businesses, the book's emphasis is on places that are really Richmond, not chains that you see in every city. Find out where to sample our craft beers and spirits, stay in a hotel full of local art, eat at charming cafes and visit museums, historic homes and cultural hot spots.

About the Author
Composition is a creative studio run by Alex Fulton in Richmond, Va. that specializes in crafting thoughtful print design and illustration. To create her work, she experiments with combined techniques such as drawing, collaging, painting and digital manipulation. This process will often lead her to unexpected and exciting outcomes. She is always looking for ways to combine her many passions - especially food, travel and art - with her work. Alex has lived in Richmond for over a decade, in many different neighborhoods, and currently lives in a charming house in Lakeside with her family and several cats.
Chris is a self-taught artist working and living with his family in Richmond, Va. His bright, evocative work draws on familiar geography, flora, and fauna to convey the unsung magic of small moments and unregistered details. He works primarily in paint on wood, but also makes large scale public commissions, textiles, and sculpture. His work has been shown in galleries in New York, Providence, Virginia and North Carolina, but is largely done on commission for private collections. Musical and iconic, his paintings draw on the stylistic traditions of folk and naive art, imbued with tender humor and haunting poignancy.
