About the Author
Andrea Beukema is a highly qualified riding instructor and instructional designer, having earned her German Trainer's C license as well as her Small and Large Bronze Riding Medals from the German FN. She is currently an instructional designer for Cornell University and previously taught riding at the well-regarded Riding Right Farm in South Cambridge, NY and working as a popular clinician for young riders. Andrea has her bronze medal from the United States Dressage Federation, and a B rating from the United States Pony Club. Andrea was also the Associate Producer of the 40 Fundamentals of English Riding DVD, serving as a key demo rider as well as being insturmental in the management of equestrian side of the DVD production. Immediately before joining Riding Right, Andrea was working in Denmark as a rider for Danish Olympian Morten Thomsen. Andrea has also been a demo rider for symposia with Lisa Wilcox, and Christoph Hess, and ridden with Shannon Dueck, Mark Weissbecker, Kim Walness, and Martin Plewa. Andrea has competed in Dressage through Fourth Level, and at the lower levels in Eventing.
