Cover is blue with gold lettering on spine. Pages are clean and tight; this is a NEW book. Extensively illustrated with color and b/w photos and drawings/diagrams. "Bentley has identified the synergy that exists between Classical riding and the Alexander technique in that poor postural habits and mental conditioning acrquired by the rider over many years are mirrored by the horse and threaten the wellbeing and performance of both.Topics covered: body's balance in the saddle; crookedness; social conditioning; tension and one-sidedness; three seats of instruction; contact; exercised for improving posture and control in all gaits. Excellent book that takes a different approach for training the rider and horse so that they can become one in the truly Classical sense of riding [dressage, primarily] theory.
