Riding with the Sun

This is a vintage reading textbook for elementary school students, authorized for use in schools in Alberta and Newfoundland and approves for use in schools in Ontario.   It is volume four in the Highroads to Reading series, called Riding with the Sun. The text is made up of a series of age- and reading level-appropriate short texts thematically arranged.  The various sections are: Lake and River, Mountain and Plain Chums Beyond the Seas Wise of Foolish? For Fun At Home Courage Friends Around Us The World of Action Old Tales There is also a glossary of words in the back. Included are some works by classic authors, including A.A. Milne, Enid Blyton, Alfred, Lord Tennyson, and Ralph Waldo Emerson, amongst others.  There are also a number of anonymous works. This copy is in near fine condition.  There is not date.
