Blue flexible faux leather covers titled in gilt; 4to; 108pp; illustrated with b/w photos & drawings; mechanically numbered (#84) of an unspecified limitation; introduction by Col. Townsend Whelen. "A rare gun book with a little hunting but with greater emphasis on the type of rifles used and their physical characteristics than on the quarry. Packard was an expert gun designer and made numerous adaptations on noted makes of rifles. In fact, 16 pages of the contents are copies of three of his patents." (Heller #274) This copy in VG to NF condition. Uncommon a the OCLC locate but 4 copies. Riling #2287.
